THE objectives of The Lace Guild include a role in education in lacemaking, and our publications attempt to further this objective. One aspect of this is the range of modestly priced basic instruction books in different lace techniques, which aim to set a standard for clarity and accuracy. Another is the publication of more advanced specialist material which, despite its importance, does not attract commercial publication. Finally, there is the annual Lace Guild Calendar, which contains attractive pictures of lace and corresponding patterns.
